International Service
We have now completed two projects with the Rotary Club of Sandton and as a result of these successes the committee would now like consider further projects in South Africa, either with Sandton or the Club of Saldanha.

This year we will again have a stall at the Dickensian Evening in Ware to raise funds and hopefully have a good time.
Following our very successful visit to Alkmaar arrangements for formal twinning and subsequent exchange visits are being finalised.
Alkmaar is a town close to Amsterdam. Some areas of Alkmaar are six metres below sea level, which is odd as the town has many canals ! Windmills were used to pump millions of gallons of water out of Holland’s low-lying areas but this is now done with huge electric pumps, and the remaining windmills work only for their immediate vicinities.
The Rotary Club of Alkmaar meets every Wednesday evening. They currently have 37 members, ranging from mayors to bulb growers.
The club has supported the district Wheelchair Foundation project this year, by donating to the district fund.
